A Revolutionary Lecture Series at the General Warren Inne

We invite you join us and be a part of an entertaining and enlightening series of lecture series that benefits a great cause the Paoli Battlefield Historical Park — a National Treasure! Funds and donations will help secure National Historic Landmark status, archeological surveys, recreating the 1777 view-scape, ceremonial and educational programs, reenactments and Park improvements. The Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund (PBPF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit and all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

The General Warren Inne played an important role in the Battle of Paoli and has long supported efforts for public education and to preserve our local heritage.

Each lecture costs $40 per person, pre-pay entitles you to the 18Th Century American Fare Buffet, all soft beverages and coffee, family style sweets during question and answer session and the lecture.

An 18% gratuity and any alcoholic beverages ordered will be additional and payment requested at end of event.

Access to the room begins at 5:45 and buffet commences at 6 PM sharp. The Lecture begins promptly at 6:40 pm. Q & A begins at approximately 8:00.

    His new book recounts the Summer of 1776, when Great Britain sent Admiral Richard Lord Howe to America in an effort to negotiate a peaceful end to the American Revolution. Hear about this fascinating story through eyewitness accounts of this meeting and why Britain’s last peace attempt to her American Colonies failed. Books will be available for sale and signing.

    The Turtle — A Revolutionary Invention
    Michael Kochan

    Author, naval historian, master metal worker and PBPF Board Member presents an illustrated talk on America’s first submarine. The Turtle was designed and built by David Bushnell for the purpose of breaking the British Naval blockade of New York.

    The British Army during The American Revolution
    Dr. Gregory Urwin

    Waging War in America was quite different from the wars waged in Europe. Dr. Urwin will give illustrated talk on how the British Army adapted its uniforms to meet the challenges presented in America during the American Revolution.
